Ryan Chappell

Welsh / Welsh language. Actor, young, factual.

Ryan is a graduate from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). Since leaving Ryan has moved back to South Wales. He was born in a small village called Brynna, not far from Bridgend. He is a fluent welsh speaker and capable of tweaking his Welsh accent to cover certain other Welsh areas.

On the acting front he has appeared in the S4C series ‘Cowbois ac Injans’ and played the leading role of Tim in the short film ‘Idiosyncrasy’. His Theatre credits at LIPA include Valentine in ‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’, Darren in ‘Redundant’, Mark in ‘Shopping and Fucking’, Alan Conway in ‘Time and the Conways’ and Mr Cricket in ‘The Insect Play’ directed by Jamie Lloyd.

His radio credits at LIPA under the direction and teaching of Marilyn Le Conte include Joe in 'Lovers' and Nick in 'Under the Blue Sky', and he also played series regular Rhys in BBC Wales Catchphrase 2000, a radio soap aimed at aiding Welsh learners.

Ryan is keen to branch out and explore new roles in both Welsh and English in all other media.
