Laila Pyne

USA. Energetic, young, skilled, highly versatile.

Laila is a highly skilled American voice over talent here in the UK, and an established member of the VO scene for over a decade. She has been proven to have a very wide range, both in terms of voice age, from child to 20s, and accents, literally from all over the US. She is an American but born of Jamaican and Moroccan parents, giving her an international base and an unusual understanding of many US-ethnic sounds compared to most US talent over here.

Her first ever video game, 'Aliens vs. Predator' , "became the fastest-selling game of 2010 in the UK and a number one hit for SEGA (http://www.rebellion.co.uk/history/ ). As well as voicing 'Corporal Tequila' for the iconic Aliens vs Predator franchise, she has also recorded voices for Hitman 2 (Zoe and Sophia Washington), 'Forza Horizon' (Hailey Harper), Lego: Ninjago, 'Horizon: Zero Dawn' and ‘League of Legends’, an online game with over 100 million unique visitors per month. She has completed many audiobooks and can be heard as the voice of My’Shell Lemaire in Assassin’s Creed: Gold, a radio drama by Audible alongside Riz Ahmed.

Laila is experienced in motion capture performance for gaming, and has stage combat training to intermediate level. She is versed in hand to hand, knives, swords and quarterstaffs, amongst many other weapons.

Being a multi-racial American she captures accents and dialects that are more varied than the average voice over artist, due to her international upbringing in countries as diverse as The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, the US and the UK.

Her accent deliveries range from West Coast Californian (her native accent), to Mexican-Californian, Southern & Deep South, the Mid-West, the East Coast especially NY Bronx and NY Puerto Rican, and finally a broad range of African American Vernacular deliveries. She can also do standard Jamaican / West Indian and Moroccan / Arabic accented English.
