Born in Biberach, Germany, Ruth can voice in either High German or with a South German accent. Her English is spoken with a slight German accent, and she has a working knowledge of French.

Ruth's voice quality can be described as soft, sweet, sensual, friendly, warm, factual, and her age ranges from young to mature.

Ruth obtained a Master of Arts in Modern Languages at the University of Munich, and has since worked as a presenter for the BBC World Service and as a correspondent for German radio.

Her voice-over talent has been widely employed, and credits include computer games, corporate videos, German language courses for BBC Worldwide and Macmillan, airline safety, documentaries, telephone consumer advice lines, ADR for cartoons and feature films, car navigation systems, storytelling and Radio news, current affairs, sports and the arts.
