Sonya Vine

From sexy sophistication to girl-next-door.

Sonya trained at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. She has a very extensive range – sexy sophistication, maternal warmth, girl-next-door. She has an excellent ear for all accents and is a very confident sight-reader.

She co-wrote and performed in the comedy sketch show ‘It’s a Wonderful Lift’ for Riverside Radio which involved many character voices, and is one half of comedy duo Bronya and Siony, playing various venues including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
 
Voice work includes recordings for an installation at the Royal College of Art, TV Commericals for Glade, Cinema Commercials for Pearl & Dean, and corporate work for Glaxo Smith Kline, Weber Shandwick and Plantronics.
 
Television credits include: ‘Hotel Babylon’ (Carnival Films), ‘Crimewatch’ (BBC), ‘Essential Poems (To Fall in Love With)’ (Talkback), ‘Make My Day’ (Monkey TV).
 
Her film credits include ‘Reverb’ (Shak House Films), ‘The Raven Part 1: Evil Calls’ (Metropolis International Pictures), ‘Alone in The Dark’ (Sundance Film Festival), ‘Dreamless’, ‘The Split’ (London Film Festival) and many short films.
 
Theatre credits include Jacqueline in ‘Don’t Dress for Dinner’ (English Theatre of Hamburg), Anne in ‘Mating Behaviour’ (Pentameters Theatre), Leigh in ‘Pawn’ (Edinburgh Festival).
 
Sonya is also a gifted painter who has exhibited at several London venues, including the Mall Galleries and Clarion Contemporary Arts, as well as holding 13 solo exhibitions.
