Keith Washington

Deep, bass, rich, epic reads.

Keith trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, before appearing in repertory at Manchester, Harrogate and Liverpool. In London he has worked at at the Mermaid Theatre, the Aldwych and the Roundhouse.

He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in both Stratford and London and appeared extensively on television and film, most notably in Thames TV’s Special Branch and as Matthew in Zeffirelli’s Jesus of Nazareth. His microphone skills were developed working for the BBC English by Radio repertory company and this led to a successful career as a voice over artist.
 
Keith has also pursued a career as a theatre director including several productions at the Royal Court, Nottingham Playhouse and in the USA, as well as numerous shows on the London Fringe.

Today he is also known as a TV director and his recent credits include: Jonathan Creek (BBC), The Bench (BBC Wales), My Wonderful Life (Granada), London’s Burning (LWT), The Knock (LWT) and Casualty(BBC).

He is currently working on a documentary film about an attempt to break the UK land speed record and researching a biography of Gianna Thompson.
