Ruba Jurdi
Ruba is a native Arabic voice-over artist, also fluent in English, with a soft Arabic accent, suited to a wide range of requirements. She is versatile – her native accent is Levant (East Mediterranean), and her other accents include standard Arabic, classical, colloquial dialect, Gulf Arabic and Egyptian.
Ruba has worked at the BBC World Service Radio co-producing a daily two-hour magazine programme. She has considerable experience in voice-overs, and has recorded for the UN, bank training, security, phone services, short films and documentaries. She has also acted as a language consultant for the BBC In Action ‘Arabic for 1ers’ book.
